THANK YOU TO ALL PARTICIPANTS, VOLUNTEERS, AND SPONSORS!
The fourth annual was a great success and we had a beautiful day for the race. The race couldn’t happen without all of you and I’m so grateful to those who came, helped, and/or sponsored. It means so much to me to see so many people come and participate in the race. I hope all who came had a wonderful time and spread the word for the 5th annual next year! It’s hard to believe next year will be the fifth time I’ve done this and it couldn’t happen without all of you. Thank you so much for you’re support and let’s make next year’s race the best one yet!
One day as Andy and some of his family members were discussing his illness and the course of treatments he was facing, he told us he was going to think of these treatments as if he was preparing to run the 400 meter race. It was the race that was the most challenging for him. He told us that when you run the 400, your whole body hurts. Your teeth and even your hair hurts. “You can’t think about any of the pain before you start the race, as it will affect your performance. I am not going to think or worry about any of the treatments or procedures that I’ll have to endure. I’m just going to concentrate on the finish line.” Andy met every challenge in his life with this same courage and philosophy.
